Neither does the show have a storyline nor was there any need for a twist to it. Recently even the most popular comedy show, Comedy Nights with Kapil went to Dubai to shoot a couple of episodes. But today almost every serial is trying to go a step ahead of others by choosing to shoot abroad in the name of bringing a change or twist in the story line and thereby trying to garner more TRPs. Earlier it used be ostentatious sets, glitzy apparel and chunky jewellery - a staple of daily soaps. Yes, the small screen has broadened its horizon. Now TV soap stars like Digangana Suryavanshi-Vishal Vashishtha, Ronit Roy-Saakshi Talwar, Jay Soni-Tejasi Welingker, and several others sing songs, have mock fights or window shop in exotic locales.
The Swiss Alps, Malls of Singapore, skyline of Dubai, the streets of Manhattan city and other equally attractive foreign locales are no more visible only in films starring Shah Rukh Khan-Kajol, Hrithik Roshan-Katrina Kaif, Salman Khan-Jacqueline Fernandez, etc. Slowly but surely even Ekta Kapoors, Adhikari Bros, Aruna Irani, Rashmi Sharma and others are steadily catching up. It is no more the domain of only Chopras, Johars, Shettys, Roshans, Nadiadwalas and others.
